Duration of Visa

Starting October 1, 2022, Thailand CCSA has announced that the Visa on Arrival stay period will be extended from 15 days to 30 days. This change is currently in effect until 31st March, 2023.

Visa Process : On Arrival for 30 days

  1. A passport or a travel document with Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) with at least 1 months validity.
  2. A pre-paid hotel booking/accommodation.
  3. Sufficient funds to last for the intended period of stay in Maldives.
  4. Confirmed onward/return tickets to home country or to country of residence (not applicable for valid resident permit holders).
  5. Entry facilities to their onward destinations; for example, the visa.
  6. Traveller Declaration must be filled in and submitted by all travelers travelling to and from Maldives, within 96 hours to the flight time. The form has to be submitted electronically via IMUGA.

Tourist visa is granted for all nationalities, on arrival to Maldives. This means, no prior visa is required to arrive to Maldives as a Tourist. The maximum number of days granted on arrival would be 30 days unless agreed by any bilateral means or Treaty.

  • If you are retired – Proof of retirement like pension book, statement etc.
  • If you are a student – school / College / Institute ID Card.
  • If you are a minor – No Objection Certificate from the parents / non-accompanying parent on a Rs. 100/- stamp paper & ID proof of parent like passport or PAN card.
  • For Singapore Visit Visa – If you are visiting friend or relative – Invitation letter or Letter of Introduction (LOI) / V39A form.
  • If sponsored – Sponsorship letter
  • For Singapore Business Visa – Invitation letter from the host Company stating purpose of trip, business details etc. and covering letter from Indian company on company letterhead.

    • Sponsorship Letter – by another person that confirms they will be financially supporting your trip to the Schengen. In order for this letter to be valid, it must be accompanied by a bank statement of the sponsor, no older than three months.
    • A combination of your bank account statement and a letter of sponsorship.
  8. Proof of paid visa fee.  €80 for adults and €45 for children from 6 to 12 years old.
